POLE COURSE
This comprehensive Pole Teacher Training Course is designed to teach you how to:
- Know how to teach Beginner and Intermediate Techniques for Dance, Conditioning and Pole.
- Create three warm up tracks (Dance/Cardio, Floor Flex/Conditioning and Pole Flex/Conditioning).
- Have a basic understanding of anatomical and movement terminology. Specifically, the actions of each of the major joint complexes in the body and how principles of alignment and anatomy relate to injury prevention in pole.
- Know how to adapt for different ability levels in the same class using the Train analogy.
- Understand the principles of “SSAAS” (Show, Set Up, Attempt, Assess, Supplement).
- Know how to give effective feedback, both to your peers and to your students.
- Learn about musicality, phrasing, pre-cueing and how these relate to choreography.
- Create fun and epic classes that are uniquely YOU!
LYRA COURSE
This comprehensive Lyra Teacher Training Course is designed to teach you how to:
- Know how to safely instruct floor and aerial conditioning for Beginners and Level 1 students.
- Know how to safely instruct Beginner and Level 1 Lyra moves.
- Have a basic understanding of anatomical and movement terminology. Specifically, the actions of each of the major joint complexes in the body and how principles of alignment and anatomy relate to injury prevention in Lyra.
- Know how to adapt for different ability levels in the same class.
- Understand the principles of “SSAAS” (Show, Set Up, Attempt, Assess, Supplement).
- Know how to give effective feedback, both to your peers and to your students.
- Learn about musicality and phrasing and how to create simple routines and combinations to improve the stamina of your students.
- Create fun and epic classes that are uniquely YOU!
By applying and paying for the Sydney Pole Teacher Training Program I hereby agree to the following:
- I am mentally and physically capable of completing the full four day course. I understand that pole can be a physically demanding activity and I will inform my instructor/s immediately of any health concerns or issues I have. I warrant that I am physically fit enough to participate and I have no medical condition which would prevent my full participation in the course.
- I am aware that my participation in this could result in physical injury and/or may aggravate pre-existing injuries. I understand my physical limitations and am sufficiently self-aware to stop or modify my participation in any activity before I become injured or aggravate a pre-existing injury. I release Sydney Pole and its subsidiaries from any and all liability should I injure myself during this course.
- I understand I can return at a later date to complete the assessment within a 12 month period. I understand I have up to 2 attempts at these assessments, subject to availability, and that additional fees may apply.
- Sydney Pole, Sydney Pole staff or agents may take photos/videos of Teacher Training students during the course to be used for promotion of future courses. By booking and paying you consent to the use of your image for this purpose.
- Payment Terms: The cost of this course is non-refundable, however student places ARE transferable. If you are unable to attend all or part of your course you have two options: (1) Sell your place to another (non-booked) participant; (2) Your payment remains valid for 12 months. You have a 12 month period to finish and pass any incomplete modules. E.g. If you miss Day 3 you can join in Day 3 of another future course at no extra cost.
- I understand that the successful completion of the course and competent execution of all in-class assessments does not guarantee me a job as a Sydney Pole Instructor.
