Ahhh, the short-short. The fashion staple of the committed pole dancer. While you can essentially get away with just wearing your undies, some of us prefer a little more coverage and booty support (and bike shorts are just that liiiitle bit too long)! We've compiled a list of a few of the best Pole Shorts available, in a few different shapes and styles!
LULULEMON WUNDER SHORT 2": $39-$49
The hardest thing about finding awesome pole shorts, is finding ones short enough in the leg so you can still sit comfortably in sits, layouts, hangbacks, etc! These Wunder Shorts are awesome, because they're high waisted enough to cover up some tummy but short enough in the leg so you're not slipping & sliding all over the place! And they're made with moisture-wicking fabric so you don't get sweaty patches!
You can check out their styles and grab a pair online here.
BADKITTY BRAZIL POLEFIT SHORTS: $35
Most Pole Dancers have a pair of these in their arsenal (;^) and for good reason! They were designed specifically for pole dancers, cut to give the perfect amount of skin above the waist, around your booty and thighs! Their Brazil Polefit Shorts sit as hipster style shorts, but they also have a range of other styles including Cross Over Shorts & Competition Shorts to give more coverage around the waist. They also come in heaps of colours!
These are from the US and they're pretty $$$ when you have to pay for shipping. Fortunately we usually stock these in the studio! So if there's a specific style you'd like us to look at getting in, let us know! We'll have some Sydney Pole Brazil Polefit Shorts in stock in the next few months.
SPANX LOUNGE-HOORAY! BOYSHORT: $20
Heard of Spanx? Those body-contouring undies the Kardashian's wear under their skin-tight dresses to help highlight their hourglass figures? Turns out they're pretty awesome for pole too! Not only that, but they come in a range of shapes and sizes and are perfect if you like a strong pair of shorts that scoop your waist in.
You can check out their online catalogue here, but they're also US-based so shipping can get pricey (about +$20). They have an awesome Shape Wear selection at Myer Online, and you can also grab generic-branded shaping & slimming briefs $15-$20 at Target, Kmart & even Coles & Woolies!
LUNA HIGH WAIST BASIC SHORTS: $45
Local Pole Instructor, Fion, recently started her own line of Pole Gear and it's left a lot of us in love! The shorts are made from a smooth, stretch nylon lyra which feel awesome to move around in, and have a scrunch bum detail to make them super flattering for your booty!
We'll be stocking these in the studio again soon, so if you hold out for a week or so, you can grab a pair here (and save on shipping)! Otherwise check out other Luna styles here.
INDIE POLE WEAR SAMBA BOTTOMS: $39-$79
After a cute pair of top quality, Aussie-made shorts that also double as cozzie bottoms? Indie Pole wear have some awesome styles and great shapes and patterns to suit everyones body type!
They can get a little exxy but they have regular online sales here and current Sydney Pole students score a 15% discount! Just message us for the discount code!
