Danny instructs the following:
  • TECHNIQUE 4
  • You will need to be confident in your straddle on both sides, advanced jamilla, straight leg hang back, outside leg hang, inside leg hang & butterfly.

    Core moves learned in Technique 4 include the extended butterfly, aerial straddle and shoulder mount.

    Welcome to bruise territory! This is where we learn to really support our bodyweight in addition to some more difficult (and impressive) spins and inverted combos.


  • DANCE 4
  • You will need to have completed Technique 3 to commence Dance 4. It is important that you feel confident with your straddle on both sides, advanced jamilla, straight leg hang back, outside leg hang, inside leg hang & butterfly before commencing Dance 4.
     
    We recommend doing Technique 4 and Dance 4 in the same term. In Dance 4 you will learn a dance routine over 10 weeks. The routine uses moves from the Technique 4 syllabus, so it's important to do Dance 4 in conjunction with Technique 4.

    Our Dance classes are a great way to increase your stamina, as well as making everything look more fluid on and around the pole.

  • TECHNIQUE 7
  • In order to enrol in Technique 7 you need to prove you are strong, controlled & confident with the following:
     
    Aerial straddles - both sides
    Aerial shoulder mount - both sides
    Ayesha in split grip (aka standard grip) and 1 other grip
    Brass monkey
     
    Core moves learnt in Technique 7 include your handspring, jacknife, pencil, ayesha fang, poisson, ayesha into brass monkey and ayesha into inside leg hang.
     
    A high level of strength & flexibility is expected at this level, and students are encouraged to be doing at least 3 other strength, flexibility and pole classes at this level in order to adequately support your body through this Advanced pole class. 

  • FLEXIBILITY & TONING (Open Class)
  • This class is for anyone who wants to improve their flexibility on and off the pole. Flexibility & Toning will work on your whole body flexibility and increase your strength. You will then be able to apply your flexy gains & strength directly to your pole-work!
     
    If you aren't flexible at all, that's ok! This is exactly what this class is there for. If you're super flexible, we provide variations to make it harder for you. 
     
    This is a really great addition to your weekly fitness routine, you'll notice a big improvement with your fitness gains.
     
    WHAT TO WEAR: Socks, leggings, leg warmers or knee pads are a great idea to cover your knees for floor-based stretches.

  • CONTEMPORARY POLE (Open Class)
  • Combining contemporary dance and pole tricks & combos, this class will diversify your repertoire & provide a refreshing new way to approach pole dance choreography. Get ready to express yourself in a contemporary pole routine!
     
    You will learn a new routine every two weeks and at the end of Week 8 the class will select a routine for Showcase! Drop ins are welcome any time except Week 10! 
     
    This class is open to all levels; our amazing instructors will provide easier and harder variations to suit your experience.
     
    WHAT TO WEAR: Leggings are recommended, along with leg warmers, knee pads or knee-high socks.

  • POP STAR POLE (Tech 1 & above)
  • So You Think You Can Pole Dance? Come join Top 12 SYTYCD contestant Danny Golding in his vivacious class, POP STAR POLE.
     
    In the class you'll explore an exotic style of pole dance infused with Jazz technique and music video choreography!
     
    You'll learn a new routine every 2 weeks, with some basic pole combos incorporated into the routines. Each student will be professionally coached through this fun and challenging dance class!
     
    WHAT TO WEAR: Regular activewear is good for this class. You may also want to bring high heels and/or knee pads.

  • DANCE 7
  • In order to enrol in Dance 7 you need to prove you are strong, controlled & confident with the following:

    Aerial straddles - both sides
    Aerial shoulder mount - both sides
    Ayesha in split grip (aka standard grip) and 1 other grip
    Brass monkey

  • TECHNIQUE 2
  • You will need to be confident with your layout, ankle grab & bat, and cross leg hang back in order to take Technique 2.

    Core Moves learned in Technique 2 include your straddle, outside leg hang and caterpillar.

    By the end of the term you'll be officially addicted - the perfect time to introduce some faster spins and combos, and for you to really get used to hanging upside down!


  • TECHNIQUE 3
  • You will need to be confident with your straddle (both sides, controlled and unassisted), outside leg hang and caterpillar in order to take Technique 3.

    Core Moves learned in Technique 3 include your inside leg hang, straight leg hang back, advanced jamilla & butterfly.

    Things are really starting to get serious now! By the end of Technique 3 you should feel confident with inverting and with a variety of moves from your inside & outside leg hangs.


  • STATIC POLE FLOW (Tech 3 & Above)
  • Learn the foundations of Static Pole with grounded spins and transitions. In each class we work on skills in the first half and in the second half of class incorporate those skills into a mini routine. Week to week we will work on a new mini routine so this class is perfect to drop in to at any time.
     
    More challenging skills elements will be provided to more advanced students to ensure you never get bored.
     
    Open to Technique 3 and above. 

    WHAT TO WEAR: Regular pole wear. Bring along some socks and leggings too!
